Podcast 327: Nak Nak, Who’s There?

This week on our motorcycle podcast we share the story of a young man with no hope. He had been told that his Harley was done for, and he was completely heartbroken. But alas, in a last ditch effort of hope, he brought his bike to the Re-Cycle Garage to meet the wizard herself, Miss Emma. She looked the bike up and down, spun her magic wand and muttered the secret phrase “Potato-potato-potato”. And voila! Suddenly the bike was running perfect. All traces of it’s engine problems were gone. The boy rode off into the sunset and all was good again in the land of merry Misfits.
And also we talk about buying a used electric bike, who got a new bike, and who’s getting a new old bike. We read some emails and have fun with our guests from Canada.
With Liza, Electric Terry, Nak, Bagel, Naked Jim, Miss Emma, Angela, John and Raymond.

Podcast 326: Honda Museum Special Episode

The Misfits received an invitation from Honda to come down to their headquarters in S. Cali. So Emma and Liza headed down to LA for a weekend of fun. We got so many great interviews that we are going to split them up into their own mini episodes. This is the first of the series:
Our first stop was to the Honda HQ in Torrance, Ca. We headed into the main building to meet Colin Miller, who had invited us down. Just the lobby was impressive, with motorcycles, lawn mowers, engines and accessories on display. But this was just the meeting point. Colin escorted us out of the building as we headed for the Honda museum. We drove a short distance to the museum, and walked into the lobby. This is where we started recording, so you can listen in as we open the doors and discover what lies within.
With Miss Emma and Liza

-We give away some Honda swag, and we learn that Liza is a cheap ass and doesn’t like Australians.
-Emma has a new job. She’s a mechanic again!
-We finish with listener emails.

Podcast 322: What Would You Do?

This week on our podcast we throw out some scenarios bikers may encounter, and ask some listeners what they would do. Bike is stolen and you find out where it is? Neighbor sells you a stolen bike? Or how about you loan your bike to a friend who returns it with damage but doesn’t offer to pay for repairs? So what would you do? We also catch up with Brandon who makes more discoveries and comparisons between gas and electric bikes. Liza gives a WRWR update, Henry reviews his new Bell helmet, and listener emails are read (in crappy accents of course).
With Liza, Bagel, Nak, Brandon and Henry.

Podcast 321: What Lubes Your Gears?

This week on our motorcycle podcast we are joined by 4 guests. That’s right, 4 travelers stopped by to experience the Re-Cycle Garage and witness the magic of the podcast. We learn about their stories and experiences, and also we ask them the magic question. We also talk about what has made us happy this week. For some it’s a material thing, and for others it’s an experience. Either way, this is what’s lubing our gears this week.
With Nak, Liza, Bagel, Miss Emma, Zee, Kendra, Arandi, Dean, Naked Jim and Nathan.

Podcast 320: 20 Questions with Mystery Guest Wendy Crockett

This week on our motorcycle podcast we play a little game called Guess the Mystery Guest with Wendy Crockett, who recently was the first woman to win the Iron Butt Rally. These riders are extreme nutters, and Wendy is queen of all the bad asses. She rode 13,000 in just 11 days on her FJR1300. She talks about what it takes to stay comfortable on a long ride, and also her plans to take her whole family on a moto journey in Central and S. America. For this we give her the cool parent award. What a great trip for her 5 year old daughter to experience.
We also talk about the Redwood Rumble Chopper Show, kids in Evel Knievel suits, being featured in the latest AMA magazine, pooping in a river, another possible engine teardown, two-stroke guy, and the appearance of a 79 CB750 in the back of Emma’s truck. And as a bonus, we throw in an Emma’s History Hole on the Honda CB750 for it’s 50th birthday.
With Liza, Bagel, Nak, Michael, Miss Emma and Naked Jim.
